Christianity in the Philippines week 14

I learned on how missionaries during the time of American managed the missionary work. They are in unity of making an agreement to each denomination. They divided the works for the each group. one group in Luzon, Other in Visayas, and also in Mindanao. The influence of the American in the Philippines is the separation of State and the Church. There work is important at those time because they are educating the people about the truth in the Bible. Through them the Bible was made available to the native people. Christians must have a servant heart that ready to do and served other people. They change the life of Filipinos before. I Thank God because of What they are done before and it's effect continue today even in my life.
Modernization and Missions week 13

During this week we discussed about the Mission work of the world. I learned about the life of Hudson Taylor, D.L. Moody, William Carey. They are doing missionary work in other countries even if there many struggles but they still survived. Hudson Taylor was doing mission in China. He was able to adapt the culture of the Chinese people. Even he struggle in evangelizing for many years without convert but still he did not stop until there are people came to know Christ. William Carey's life impacted me the most. I see how God preserved him that even His family was gone but still he do his work for the sake of the gospel. In spite of what happen to his family, He still managed himself in his walk with God and Do the mission work. For me it is important to manage my walk with God  and I am praying that God will guide me by His Holy Spirit to always Trust Him in times of the dark age in my Life. He will guide me in my future ministry.
The Reformation Age, Week 12
During this time, Marriage is arranged with the Parents. They must know each other and they must respect each others feelings. It came to my minded that they have high regard with the feelings of the women before. in our time today, women are not highly regards. They used women for their lustful desire. Some of the married women are bitter of their marriage because they are victims of being betrayed. Before even if it is arranged marriage, they have respect each other and they value their marriage. This is my realization that i need to know will about my partner someday and pray for her. It is by God's grace that i know how to respect girls.

The life of Martin Luther (Week 11)

This week we discuss the life of Martin Luther. He is a monk who studies the Bible and against the teaching of Roman Catholic about indulgence. He is a good man who stands his faith for the sake of the teaching in the Bible. I appreciate his brevity that even the pope and the emperor of Rome want Him to recant those writings that against the teaching of Roman Catholic, he did not recant. He stands for what the Bible teach about Salvation. It is by faith that all of us are saved and it is by God's grace not through indulgences or works. He makes ways that people can see the real truth and stop their faith on indulgences for their salvation. I realize that we are blessed today because of what the Luther has done for the sake of the truth. If we want to seek the truth, we can find it in the Bible. Our soul will be saved by God's grace. All Christians must stand with the truth that in the Bible. In all of our teaching, we must go back to the Bible if what we say is true.
I decide to teach the truth to the people who seek it and stand with my faith in the Lord. I will reach out those lost souls so that they will also know how I experience the grace and love of Christ in my life. They can acknowledge God by knowing the truth. I will let them grow by equipping them to the truth of the word of God. By this, they can also impart the love of Christ to others.

The Dark age of Roman Empire. (Week 8 reflection)

This week, the discussion is about Christians who suffered the brutality during the time of Roman empire. They also suffered famine, persecution, hunger and even other's are beheaded. Their life was in a miserable state. They survived and stand for their faith during this time. I learned them that even people will persecute you of the faith you have stood with it even if it will cause your life. They stand with their faith even at the point of death. Many of them in those time did not give up with their faith in Christ. When I think about these, I ask this question: can I stand in times of suffering like what the Christians in middle east suffered on this day? I answered with this that I will not give up my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ even if it will cause my life. How can I give up my faith to the one who always faithful in my life? God gives this life I have and He is the one who control this.

Reflection on week 6 (Church and state)

During this week we discuss the church and the State. It is during the time of Constantine that Christianity spread out because he is the first emperor of Rome who tolerated Christianity. He issued a decree that is called Edict of Melan that stop the persecution of the Christians.
God used evil to accomplish his purpose. I don't really know if Constantine is truly a Christian but the only thing I know that he make a decree for political purpose. He made that because Christians are too many in his kingdom even if they are persecuted before he became an emperor. Even with that, through him God help Christianity spread out faster in the empire. I learned that even in the darkest age of our life God has it's on purpose with it. People who are not a believer can be used by God to prevail His purpose.

The Word of God.

During this week we studied about the Word of God. How this word of God important to us Christians. The answer to this question is these, the word of God is very important because it is our guide and corrects us whenever I'm on the right path or on the wrong path of my decisions.
This question helps me to think that without the word of God, my choices are poor and I'll in the wrong path. God's word is my guide every day in my daily walk with God. The Psalmist said, "Your word is the lamp into path and light into my feet" (Psalms 119:105). God's word always enlightens our minds or way of where we are now. It gives us realization in which we can say to ourselves that we are not the good servant of God.
